"Demystifying Nursing Research at the Bedside: Ameliorating the Quality of Care"
From the inaugural lamp-lighting to two scientific sessions on bedside research and AI, sixteen oral paper presentations and an e-poster competition, closing with the valedictory function.
The meet opened with a welcome dance by B.Sc. Nursing students, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries. The theme was unfolded by Dr. Pramilaa R., Principal, who stressed bringing research to the bedside through evidence-based practice. Dr. Ravi Singh Pippal, Dean Research, Chirayu University, gave the inaugural address, and Prof. Nisha Divakaran proposed the vote of thanks.
"Translating Research Findings into Everyday Bedside Protocols" — on building a research culture that every nurse shares, beyond the job description. Moderated by Prof. Dr. Ankita Shyni Andrews, Vice Principal, Bansal College of Nursing, Bhopal.
"Artificial Intelligence in Nursing Research" — covering the benefits of AI in modern healthcare and how technological advances have improved diagnosis and early identification.
Of 28 research papers submitted, 16 were selected for presentation. Each presenter had 10 minutes to present and 2 minutes for the jury's questions, with a short break after the first five papers.
The valedictory ceremony began with a welcome to the dignitaries, participants and students, followed by an oration by the Medical Superintendent of CMCH, Bhopal.
Of 21 e-posters received, the winner was Dr. Elby K. Paul, Chirayu College of Nursing (jury: Prof. Dr. Malliga Kannan and Dr. Venice David). In the oral paper category, the winner was Dr. Sumathy M. K., East Coast Hospital, Puducherry (scrutiny: Prof. Dr. Lilly Christopher and Dr. D. Charmini Jebapriya). Each winner received Rs. 10,000.
After a round of participant feedback, Dr. Ajay Goenka congratulated the winners and appreciated the enthusiasm shown for the meet. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Arpit Narekar. The programme was anchored by Mr. Raj Pradhan and Ms. Anumol P.A.
